We Don’t Subcontract

Unlike other shredding companies, we don’t subcontract any of our collections. When you book in a service with Shred Station, it’s us who will come to collect and destroy your confidential materials. Our uniformed and BS 7858 security-vetted staff will attend your premises, and all data will be destroyed in line with EN 15713 security shredding standards. You know, with us, exactly who has your confidential materials. We monitor all of our collections with GPS tracking and four-camera CCTV systems in our vehicles, and will also provide a Waste Transfer Note and Certificate of Destruction after every collection.

Customer Leading Technology

Another thing that sets us apart from other shredding businesses is our investments in technology to improve our customers’ experiences. One example of this is an automatic email alert to customers, letting them know when they are the next stop on our driver’s route. We ask our customers for regular feedback on how our services can be improved, and email alerts are one of the recurring suggestions our customers had. As a result, we invested in an update for our operations software, meaning customers can now go about their day without having to plan their schedule around waiting for a collection.

We’ve also recently built and implemented a secure online portal for our customers. This portal allows our customers to easily view their upcoming collections, see past collections, download Waste Transfer Notes and Certificates of Destruction, and manage their invoices. This tool has already proven a great success amongst our multi-site customers.

Environmental Commitments

In a world where there’s more pressure than ever to be mindful of our carbon footprint, Shred Station has been leading the shredding industry with official Carbon Neutral certification since January 2019.

Another commitment we have made is joining Volta Truck’s pioneer programme. Volta is a Sweden-based start-up that has created the world’s first fully-electric 16-tonne delivery vehicle. The vehicle, in addition to being fully-electric, also has innovative road safety features and bio-resin body components. We will be trailing the vehicle this year, and have already committed to purchasing once the first vehicles have been released. This further demonstrates our determination to decrease any environmental impacts, on top of our Euro 6 low emissions fleet and other numerous environmental commitments.
