Shred Station’s Employee of the Month – June 2020

Each month, our staff members anonymously nominate a colleague who they think should be named Employee of the Month. When voting, staff are asked to think about how someone has stood out to them that month through their hard work, achievements, and those who help Shred Station to maintain a great working environment. The employee with the most nominations is named the Employee of the Month.

June 2020’s Employee of the Month is…

Peter Crossley!

Peter works in our Manchester depot as a Warehouse Operative. His day-to-day duties include all things shredding, keeping on top of warehouse safety, and the movement of bales. Warehouse Operatives have one of the most physically demanding jobs in the whole company, and Peter has received consistent praise for his positive attitude, hard work, and efficiency. Our Manchester depot is only a year old, but Peter and the rest of the Manchester team have already seen a huge growth in the North. The acceleration of paper coming through the Manchester depot doors has been met only with hard work, and a positive attitude. Peter has played a crucial role in keeping those cogs turning.

Before joining Shred Station, Peter worked in a similar role for a recycling company. As with his current role, Peter’s time there was spent loading balers with paper and cardboard to get them ready for recycling. It is no surprise therefore that Peter continues to impress us with his ability to keep on top of the Manchester depot’s growing paper load, even with fewer staff members in the depot due to coronavirus.
